Shipping Information
Airline shipments for puppies are available with American Airlines. United and Delta have not given any indication when they will resume this service.
Ground shipping is available again. Air shipping is preferred for either coast. Cost is similar or less than ground shipping and is days faster. We have used Great Lakes Pet Transportation for deliveries in the eastern , midwestern and southern parts of the United States. They have provided us with good reliable service and at a reasonable cost. Inquire about your options, depending on where you live.
There are several airlines that service our local airport in Des Moines, Iowa. Flying to Des Moines to pick up your puppy may be an economical alternative to shipping and we would be pleased to meet with you if you can make the trip.
Pickup or shipping should be arranged to occur when puppies are 8 weeks of age. Pickup or shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. We can help and arrange for shipping by air or ground. Air shipment typically runs around $550 in the United States. Ground shipping can usually be arranged for around $400 in the eastern half of the USA. We have been using the same ground shipper for several years without any complications. We do not have a usual low cost ground shipping alternative to the western United States. Shipping costs more to these areas. Prompt, reliable delivery with good communication throughout the process and the well being of our puppies is important to us.
We have a hog hunting business in west Texas and will deliver puppies along our route from Iowa, through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and North Texas if puppies are ready to adopt during our winter hunting season. We try to have some puppies born in the fall and ready to re-home to coincide with our hunting season travels.
Hawaii has strict quarantine regulations for dogs entering that state. We can ship puppies to Hawaii, however the quarantine and expenses will be the responsibility of the puppy buyer. Inquire for shipping to Canada or Mexico.
